AMESBURY, MA—The New Hampshire Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE-NH) and Shea Concrete Products share a mission: to empower and educate the engineers of today and tomorrow. To accomplish that goal, the two organizations collaborate as co-sponsors to bring unique educational experiences to their shared engineering community in New England. The Annual Engineers Day Conference, co-hosted by ASCE-NH and Shea Concrete, has provided local and aspiring engineers the opportunity to learn, earn credits, and meet with fellow industry professionals since 2018. In its fifth year, the event was hosted virtually via Zoom and featured a wide range of technical presentations by speakers. This year’s presenters represented NHDOT, Sika Corporation, Infraspect, Ferguson Waterworks, AIT Composites, and NH Army National Guard. The sessions shared key insights spanning a variety of topics including local infrastructure, robotic nondestructive testing, the history of concrete, and developments in green infrastructure.

The annual conference also supports the ASCE-NH Scholarship Fund, created in 2000 to support current and potential engineering students. This year, ASCE-NH and Shea Concrete celebrated over $12,000 in scholarship funding raised from the proceeds of the 5^th Annual Engineers Day Conference.
