For 72 years, we have been an active member of the construction community here in New England, servicing our customers with top-quality precast concrete solutions and offering residents the opportunity to pursue a rewarding career in the precast concrete industry. For the third consecutive year, we’ve celebrated this success with great pride—and a multi-day open house event. Over the course of two weeks earlier this November, our team at Shea Concrete celebrated Precast Days 2021 in collaboration with the National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA). The four events, hosted at each of our facilities across Massachusetts & New Hampshire, ushered in visitors to each location as a unique, firsthand educational opportunity for students, specifiers, engineers, contractors, and any other individuals interested in learning more about the precast concrete industry. We treated our guests to hardhat tours of our precast concrete plants in Wilmington, Rochester, Nottingham, and Amesbury and refreshments from a variety of local food trucks available on-site, including Augusta’s Cluck, The Cookie Monstah, Empanada Dada, and Lobsta Love. All attendees were also able to receive a 1-PDH credit for their participation in the tour. The tours shed light on the processes and individuals that keep our operations running smoothly day-in and day-out. As Shea Concrete Products has always said, their secret weapon is their hard-working team of experts! This year, each of the four Precast Days events had excellent attendance—even when severe weather threatened to put a damper on their Precast Days finale held at our recently expanded headquarters facility in Amesbury, MA. “Precast Days gives us an opportunity to welcome visitors to our facilities and provide tours of our manufacturing plants, which is something we really enjoy doing. Now, the team at Shea looks forward to closing out another year on a strong note, rounding out 2021 with a full schedule of precast concrete installations across New England and beyond.
